Official job portals in Egypt: the government jobs site and Ministry of Labour links
For government jobs, start at the Government Jobs Portal, jobs.caoa.gov.eg. For jobs in and outside Egypt, use the Ministry of Labour's jobs page. Here is every official link we checked, by task.

This list is what we could really open, as of 2 November 2026. Some government sites don't answer from outside Egypt, so for those we read a saved copy from a web archive and we tell you the date. The links below go to the official address. If one doesn't load, try again on an Egyptian connection. Applying through these sites is free, and nobody should ask you to pay for a government job. The law bans anyone who places workers from charging you for it, apart from a licensed company's admin charge of at most 1% of your wage in your first year (Labour Law 14 of 2025, Article 43).
Where do I apply for a government job?
The Government Jobs Portal (bawwabat al-wazaif al-hukumiya, بوابة الوظائف الحكومية) is run by the Central Agency for Organization and Administration. In our archive copy of 19 July 2026 it splits jobs into three groups: by transfer and secondment, by appointment and contract, and leadership and supervisory posts. It has an enquiry page, a library with the civil service law, and assessment centres in Cairo, New Valley and at Assiut University. Its contact address is ejobs@caoa.gov.eg. The old address, jobs.gov.eg, sent people here in the archive copy of 30 March 2026.
Where do I look for jobs through the Ministry of Labour?
The ministry's jobs page, in the archive copy of 14 May 2026, lets you search jobs inside and outside Egypt and register as a job seeker. It also lists jobs for Dabaa and for Jordan. The ministry also publishes a National Employment Bulletin on its publications page, listed up to June 2026. We couldn't open a copy of the bulletin, so we can't describe what's inside.
Which other public bodies list their own jobs?
Some bodies advertise on their own sites, and those adverts are the ones to trust. Here are two we opened. ITIDA, the Information Technology Industry Development Agency, listed six roles on the first page of its careers list on 2 November 2026, each with an opening date of 1 November 2026 and a deadline of 1 February 2027. The Universal Health Insurance Authority has a jobs page in its menu.
Where do I get the papers an employer asks for?
- Registration certificate (kaab amal): the ministry's home page says it's available through Digital Egypt. You can also get it at a labour office.
- Insurance number: the National Organization for Social Insurance has a lookup page, and your local office can give it to you.
- Insured periods and wages: a lookup on the same site, which has New user and Login buttons.
- Criminal record certificate (fish): the Interior Ministry's e-services directory links to it, and it asks you to log in. It's valid for 3 months, so don't get it too early.
How do I know a government address is real?
Most government addresses in Egypt end in .gov.eg. Check the end of the address, letter by letter. A page with a government logo on a different address isn't a government page. If you're looking at a notice someone shared in a group, go to the body's own site and find the same notice there.
What should I do before I apply?
Read the whole Arabic notice, not the headline. A competition can set a qualification, age, residence condition, document list and closing date of its own. Save the notice, and save your confirmation. If anything asks you for money, a card number or a one-time code, stop.

Frequently asked questions
Is jobs.caoa.gov.eg the real government jobs site?
Yes. It's the Government Jobs Portal of the Central Agency for Organization and Administration. From where we checked, it timed out on 2 November 2026, so we read an archive copy dated 19 July 2026. Try it from an Egyptian connection.
Can I check my application with my national ID?
The portal has an enquiry page. We couldn't see the screens behind it, so we can't tell you exactly what it asks for. Only enter your ID number on the official .gov.eg address.
Does this site run government recruitment?
No. We're an independent job site, and we have no link with any government body. We can't help you get a government job, and nobody can sell you a place in one.
