# How to find jobs in Cairo without paying to apply
Where to start
Cairo has roles across technology, health, education, finance, manufacturing and public service. Search engines and social posts can help you discover an opening, but the employer's own advert is the source to trust. Check its title, location, requirements and deadline on the official careers page before sending your CV. A post that uses a company logo but sends you to a different domain is not enough proof.
For government posts, Egypt's Central Agency for Organization and Administration job portal lists openings and provides an application and status-tracking route. The agency describes it as a direct channel between applicants and public jobs. For technology-sector examples, ITIDA's careers page publishes vacancies with opening and closing dates. These are examples of official channels, not a promise that a particular role remains open; always check today's deadline on the notice.
A safe search routine
Start with employers you can name. Search their official domain for “careers” or the exact role. Save the advert URL, reference number and deadline. Check whether the advert asks for Arabic, English or both, and prepare the requested documents in that language. Apply only through the portal or address shown by the employer. Keep a simple log so you do not submit the same role twice.
If a person asks for money to arrange a shortlist, visa, interview or “guaranteed” job, stop and verify with the employer. The ILO's fair recruitment principles say workers and jobseekers should not bear recruitment fees. Those principles are a useful warning sign, while specific rules for an Egyptian recruitment route must be checked in its official notice.
Focus on fit rather than volume. A clear application for a role whose requirements you meet is more useful than dozens of identical CVs sent through unverified links.
