Common Job Interview Questions in Egypt and How to Prepare
Prepare examples of your work, check the employer and ask useful questions about the role.

An interview may test technical knowledge, customer handling, teamwork or a practical task. Public competitions can also include formal assessments; check the relevant notice on Egypt's government jobs portal for the process that applies to your role. For an international post, use the UN's official application and interview guidance. There is no universal list of questions that all employers must ask.
Prepare four short stories
Choose a real example of solving a problem, meeting a deadline, learning a new tool and working with someone whose priorities differed from yours. For each, note the situation, your responsibility, the action you personally took and the outcome. Include numbers only if you can explain where they came from. These stories can be adapted to several interview questions without sounding memorised.
Practise an introduction of about one minute: your relevant experience, your strongest evidence and why this role interests you. When asked about a weakness, describe a genuine improvement you are making and what you have already done. If you do not know a technical answer, explain how you would investigate rather than bluffing.
Read the employer's own site and the job description before the call. Confirm the location, working arrangement and language of the interview. Prepare questions about the team, the first priorities and the next stage. If an invitation asks you to bring certificates, check that it came through the employer's official route.
An offer or interview request tied to a processing payment is a warning sign. The UN says it never charges applicants. For any employer, contact the official careers team through a published channel before sending money or sensitive records.
